    Please read through this booklet carefully. lt contains everything you need to know about your Warranty for your Mutt Motorcycle. Please also ensure you have read through your Mutt Owner's Manual and have familiarised yourself with all of the operating requirements of your motorcycle.

     

    MUTT MOTORCYCLES SERVICE RECORD

    This booklet must be used to record the service history of your Mutt Motorcycle throughout its lifetime. There is a servicing schedule and record section at the rear of this booklet. Please ensure that service information is recorded whenever your bike is serviced. This is an important requirement for maintaining your warranty provision. Please ensure that this book is available to present to anyone who services, repairs or carries out warranty work on your Mutt Motorcycle.

     

    6 AUTHORISED DEALER INFORMATION

     

    7 ENROLLING IN THE MUTT MOTORCYCLES WARRANTY SCHEME

    Every new Mutt Motorcycle is covered under our two year parts and one year labour warranty up to 30,000 km. To register with this scheme, your dealer will stamp and date this booklet on Page 10 and they will then inform us of your details so that we have a record of when your warranty. This booklet must be kept safe as you will be required to produce it when you have your bike serviced or if you ever need to have repairs carried out under warranty.

    8 KEEPING YOUR WARRANTY VALID

    On receiving this booklet, please fill out your personal information within and ensure your authorised Mutt Motorcycles dealer has stamped and dated where required. Ensure that your Mutt Motorcycle has been serviced according to the schedule (indicated towards the rear of the booklet). Regular servicing should ensure that your Mutt Motorcycle will be running at peak performance. IMPORTANT: Failure to observe the service schedule and keep a record of services in this booklet will result in invalidation of your warranty. When you take your Mutt Motorcycle to be serviced, ensure that the dealer/service or repair shop stamps the relevant service record page. All warranty repairs are required to be undertaken by a Mutt Motorcycles Authorised Dealer. lf your Mutt Motorcycle requires a warranty repair, ensure you take this Warranty and Service Record booklet with you and present it to your Authorised Mutt Motorcycles Dealer. Prior to requesting a warranty repair, please observe the restrictions outlined on pages 9 to 10.

     

    9 WARRANTY RESTRICTIONS

    SHOULD ANY OF THE FOLLOWING OCCUR, YOUR MUTT WARRANTY MAY BE INVALIDATED:

    1. Failure to maintain the required service schedule as outlined by Mutt Motorcycles in this booklet. 2. lmproper use of or riding of your Mutt Motorcycle, particularly in off-road situations.

    3. Making unauthorised modifications or adding additional unauthorised parts.

    4. Racing your Mutt Motorcycle competitively or use for private track days.

    5. lmproper storage or transport of your Mutt Motorcycle.

    6. Using fuels or other consumables that are not to the outlined specifications.

    7. Allowing unqualified or inappropriate persons to carry out work on your Mutt Motorcycle.

    8. Defacing or alteration of the frame number stamped into the metal frame of your Mutt Motorcycle.

    9. Using your Mutt Motorcycle for anything other than these uses specified by Mutt Motorcycles.

    10. Using inappropriate cleaning methods or substances.

     

    10 WARRANTY RESTRICTIONS CONT.

    11. lf you recognise a problem with your Mutt Motorcycle and do not take it to your nearest Mutt dealer or repair shop, within a reasonable time (28 days). Any further damage caused by such a delay may not be covered by the warranty. Should you expenence a problem which affects the operation of your Mutt Motorcycle, contact your local Mutt dealer for advice and stop using the vehicle immediately. lf the problem does not affect the operation then take your Mutt Motorcycle to your nearest Mutt dealer as soon as possible.

    YOUR MUTT MOTORCYCLE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

    1. Wear and tear in accordance with normal use, including but not restricted to: perishable parts; fuel and lubricating oils and fluids; spark plugs; filters; drive chains; cam chains and belts; tyres; brake or friction parts.

    2. Battery is only covered up to 3 months from point of 1st registration.

    3. Natural wear/discolouration due to age and continuous use.

     

    11 KEEP THIS BOOKLET SAFE

    This booklet is your proof that you are registered for the warranty scheme. Your Mutt Motorcycle Authorised Dealer will be unable to carry out any warranty repairs, should your Mutt Motorcycle need them if this booklet is not available. Additionally, should you ever wish to sell your Mutt Motorcycle, this service record booklet will enhance the vehicle's value. Ensure that you keep any service or warranty repair invoices/ receipts safe and separate from this booklet, in case you misplace it. Should you wish to sell your Mutt Motorcycle prior to the end of the warranty period, any outstanding warranty balance can be transferred to the new owner when they send their details to us at Mutt Motorcycles (see Page 7 for contact details). The new owner will need to fill out the form on Page 23.

    IMPORTANT: Warranty balance for second and subsequent owners is restricted to cover for cost of parts only.

     

    12 PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION

    Thee pre-delivery inspection is to be carried out by your Mutt Motorcycles Authorised Dealer.

    DEALER DECLARATION: The PDI has been carried out in accordance with the inspection schedule issued by Mutt Motorcycles. A copy has been given to the customer along with the owners manual. The customer has been instructed in how to operate the vehicle.

    CUSTOMER DECLARATION: I have inspected the vehicle and can find no apparent defects. I have been shown how to operate the motorcycle and fully understand all operating controls. I am fully aware of the importance of reading and understanding the owners manual and that regular maintenance of my Mutt Motorcycle is essential.

    14 MAINTENANCE INFORMATION

    1. Before riding your Mutt Motorcycle on any journey always check the correct operation of your headlight, tail light and indicators, and the correct operation of your brake light.

    2. Before riding your Mutt Motorcycle, perform a visual inspection of all key components and fittings, ensuring that all fixings are as expected and not lose or showing excessive movement.

    3. Check your tyre condition and pressure regularly. Poor tyre condition and/or incorrect air pressure will adversely affect the performance of your Mutt Motorcycle and in some cases may be dangerous.

    4. Check, clean and lubricate your chain regularly. Visual checks should be carried out before every ride. Regularly check the play in your chain and adjust as necessary.

    5. Check your engine oil level regularly and top up when required. Maintenance of the correct engine oil level is vital to the continued safe and effective operation of your Mutt Motorcycle.

     

    15 MAINTENANCE INFORMATION CONT.

    6. Ensure that your Mutt Motorcycle is cleaned regularly. BuiId up of dirt on the components of your utt otorcyc lead to excessive moisture contact and subsequent damage of parts.

    7. When cleaning your Mutt Motorcycle use only warm water and a sponge, and ensure excess moisture is removed after cleaning. Do not use a jet wash to clean your Mutt Motorcycle. High-pressure water can damage key components and lead to failure of your Mutt Motorcycle.

    8. Ensure that your Mutt Motorcycle is serviced as recommended in your manual.

    9. Ensure that you do not overfill your tank with fuel. Your Mutt Motorcycle has a breather tube within the fuel tank. lf overfilling occurs, this tube may be blocked with excess fuel leading to poor performance. Always leave an air gap of around 60mm at the top of your tank.
